Autism: Effective Tools and Strategies
This workshop is designed to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical strategies to effectively support autistic children. When used correctly, tools and strategies that create an autism-friendly environment can have a significant impact on a child’s wellbeing and development. The right use of visuals and social stories fosters a sense of safety, certainty, and clarity—helping children build resilience as they learn new skills. Visual supports also play a crucial role in bridging communication difficulties. This workshop focuses on empowering adults with the confidence to provide meaningful support while equipping children with skills that will benefit them both now and in the future.

Emotional Regulation and Behavior Support
We are in a time where understanding and supporting children's emotional regulation has never been more important. With anxiety, depression, and neurodiversity affecting nearly half of the school population, the need for effective strategies is clear. Intense emotions can manifest in different ways, whether through emotional outbursts or quiet withdrawal, both of which can impact a child's well-being. This workshop offers valuable insights into de-escalation techniques, providing appropriate support during moments of crisis, and equipping children with practical calming tools they can use with confidence as they navigate the world around them.
